Hanna Strömbom

Although my goal is to become an animator, my love for contemporary art runs deep. The freedom in artistic exploration in any media makes me understand myself as well as the world around me. Art has also been the way for me to learn a different point of view from another. Simply telling will never be the same as showing how you feel. Now I wish to show others my look on life.

Originally from Sweden I came to Scotland to grow as a person and an artist, to gain that perspective I desire. Having studied HNC Contemporary art practice and passed with an A as a final grade, I moved on to the HND to hopefully enter university later on.

My art often bases on emotions, self discovery and a critical view on our society. I’ve worked in many different medias such as photography, sculpture and oil paint. However, my favourites are acrylics, charcoal and digital art.

The inspirations I find are from varied sources. It can be anything from a classic painting found in the Louver to a child cartoon on everyday tv. Because I enjoy the works of the inner self I can find inspiration from anything because any art in any form has been made from an individual with unique thoughts and experiences. That is what art is to me.
